The housing projects were “planted” in the neighbourhood in the 1960’s to provide residents with modern housing. Today, the housing projects seem foreign to the landscape of the regained prestige of the neighbourhood.
Ruty, a Ceramic artist living in the neighbourhood, chose to disrupt the order of things and place the symbols of opulence and splendour of the stone houses and plant Rosettes and decorated tiles into the gray concrete. Ruty Barkai
